Research and development activities have a significant importance in socio-economic development. Our foundation has assumed research and development work thus contribution to the national economy as its goal. These activities also enable the interaction and sharing the information with society. Serious researches to define the need for the work force for national industry and related sectors are not made. Whilst planning vocational education programmes,researches should be conducted regarding the need for the workforce and the departments and programme contents to be implemented should be decided accordingly.
For this reason, various researches are being conducted by our foundation. The present researches that are currently being conducted can be seen below;
- The Research for the Labour Skills Need in logistics sector
- The Research for the Expectations of High School Students in Beykoz and the Neighbouring Districts regarding Higher Education.
Research and development activities are also incorporated in the mission of Beykoz Vocational School of Logistics established by our Foundation. Using and improving the most up-to-date scientific and techonological findings of our age, and thus contributing to the scientific and technological production in our country are among our main targets. With the help of the activities carried out in this framework, there will be contributions both to extend the usage of technology and science in production and to improve social, cultural and economic development.
Among the Research &Development activities to be realized by the Vocational School, there are Support Programmes, Scientific Exchange Programmes, Expert Invitation Programmes, and Programmes for Supporting Participation in Scientific Practices, Science Competition Programmes, Scientific Meetings and Scholarship Programmes.
In order to support these activities, to follow national and international research and developments, to collaborate with the related institutions and also to produce cooperative projects and to bring international research standards in Turkey, an Office for Research and Development Coordination under Beykoz Vocational School of Logistics is going to be established.
